I loved the story but hated anything to do with shooting (which is pretty much the entire game) Played solo for about 3-4 hours until I just gave up cause it wasn't any fun. How is the gameplay regards to guns? This is one thing I couldn't get past in BL2. Having a blast with it though, and looking forward to hopping back in game tonight. Other than that, the only negative things I have to say about it are a few obnoxious UI behaviors (inability to sort items in inventory by price, the flip-clock style animation on updating item prices when trying to find your lowest value item to drop, its lack of an obvious way to sort quests by zone, etc.).
It goes from smile through grin to grimace rather quickly before being somewhat ignored. I got the impression from a number of tertiary NPCs and background characters that developers recognized how popular a particular BL2 NPC had been and decided *almost all* NPC dialog had to be more akin to that. I think dialog is where the NPCs fall short this time around. NPCs are *slightly* worse than BL2 some consensus here. The story might be *slightly* better than BL2 opinions differ. 3 of the 4 PCs are desirable according to our 4 person co-op. Game mechanics are essentially the same, plus mantling. Graphically, the game is better looking and more vibrant. I've played to 元2 so far and found the game to be a slight overall improvement on the second. If you REALLY hate Pitchford or 2K so much that you can't live with giving them $60, the Pirate Bay is that way. Why let your dislike of someone effect your enjoyment of a game? Seriously, take a good look at your posturing, laugh, and go DL and enjoy some Borderlands 3. Sure the guy is a POS, but has he come into your house and peed into your cereal or something? HE didn't create B元, a large team of artists, coders and designers did. Hooked through the balls, and loving it.Īnd to everyone pissing and moaning about Randy Pitchford, you really have too much time on your hands.
The game itself is fun and well put together as anything I could ask for, and that is all that matters. That said, no one (except SJWs looking for something to bitch about) plays Borderlands for the dialogue.
EVERYONE talks like a millennial! Vaughn (the 'Bromeister') has already gotten to the point that I hate him more then claptrap. The only other beef I have (and the only point Kyle is right on) is the sophomoric dialogue.

I hate the fact that i had to install and use the Epic storefront to buy the game, but it's been unobtrusive so far, far less so then Steam tbh.
